SIGHTSEEING DAY, SAN FRANCISCO, CA
Every time SMC travels, we try to take a day off to see the sights in the particular area that we are in. San Francisco is a beautiful city and there is a lot to do. Our team went to Point Bonita Lighthouse for an on-location teaching, then a picnic by the Golden Gate Bridge. We also walked the bridge, went to Pier 39, and rode the famous Cable Cars. The rugged coast, the beauty of the city, and being with close friends to enjoy it all is a memory we won’t soon forget.
BAY AREA DREAM CENTER, HAYWARD, CA
Our first stop on our trip to the San Francisco area was the Bay Area Dream Center in Hayward, CA, pastored by Daniel and Maria Caraballo. Our whole team was really blessed by their hospitality and their praise and worship. It always amazes us how huge the family of God is and how we all fit together. The work that the Bay Area Dream Center is doing is incredible, if you are in the area you have to stop in and visit.
CARLSBAD, NM
From May 18th-24th, Scottsdale Master’s Commission was in Carlsbad, New Mexico. Carlsbad is a small, quiet town with lots of space so we had great times praying and studying as well as ministering. Our first service was at Carlsbad Family Fellowship. It was a very impactful service yielding nine salvations. In addition, we went swimming in a “swimming hole” and ventured through Carlsbad Caverns. We did the worship Sunday morning at Carlsbad First Assembly and the youth service that night. There were many salvations and lives changed. Overall it was a great trip and we all grew in the process.
Coolidge, AZ
On May 14th, we traveled to Coolidge, Arizona to do our last school assembly for the year. Not only was it our last of the year, but 3 middle schools with over 600 students in Coolidge were attending. In knowing this our team put our all on the table. The energy and passion were very high and it was one of our best school assemblies of the year. The Mayor of Coolidge and a local newspaper were also in attendance. Overall it was a great way to end the school assembly part of our year.

Easter 2010
Easter weekend was a VERY busy weekend for SMC. Good Friday started with an incredible outreach where many said a prayer of salvation. During the outreach we fed the community, gave away clothing, food, small appliances and lots of other stuff to those in need Special thanks to Las Vegas Dream Center & Pastor Aaron & Danita (both MC grads) for the donations, we love you guys! Saturday was a visit to the Prayer Garden with the kids from our church where SMC students prepared a mini message on the events leading up to the crucifixion of Jesus. Easter Sunday was 3 services of an illustrated sermon. At the end of it all, we ourselves reflected on how eternally grateful we are for the price Jesus paid so we may have eternal life!
Student Ministries Annual Valentine’s Production
Every year, Scottsdale First Assembly Student Ministries and Master’s Commission organize a production to raise funds for the student ministries department. This year’s theme was America’s Greatest Hits. The audience was transported through time as we played out acts like the Andrews Sisters Dean Martin, Elvis, Cyndi Lauper, Vanilla Ice, MC Hammer and NSYNC culminating in a battle of the ages.
